Job Description:
Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator-Systems Designer,
Compensation D.O.E. position will be a HYBRID role. Primary focus
on irrigation drip systems Job Overview for Alternative On-site
Soil Evaluator-Systems Designer: We are seeking Soil Scientist with
a minimum of 4 years of experience in on-site sewage disposal
systems in Virginia. The individual must have an Alternative
On-site Soil Evaluator (AOSE) license and be able to evaluate and
design on-site sewage disposal systems. Responsibilities for
Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator-Systems Designer: • Conduct soil
and site evaluations for on-site sewage disposal systems in
compliance with state and local regulations. • Provide technical
support to clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies for
on-site sewage disposal system projects. • Perform site inspections
and evaluations to determine site suitability, soil
characteristics, and system design options. • Develop and prepare
detailed site and soil evaluation reports, system design plans, and
permit applications. • Monitor and inspect the installation of
on-site sewage disposal systems to ensure compliance with state and
local regulations. • Provide technical guidance and training to
other staff members as necessary. • Maintain accurate and
up-to-date records of all soil and site evaluations, design plans,
and installation inspections. • Conduct research and keep abreast
of developments in the field of on-site sewage disposal systems.
Requirements for Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator-Systems
Designer : • Alternative On-site Soil Evaluator (AOSE) license •
Bachelor's degree in Soil Science, Environmental Science, or
related field • Minimum of 4 years of experience in on-site sewage
disposal systems in Virginia • Knowledge of Virginia state and
local regulations pertaining to on-site sewage disposal systems •
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills •
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work
independently and as part of a team • Proficiency in Microsoft
