Job Description:
Procon Consulting, LLC is seeking a Business Development Analyst
whom will provides planning, management, and coordination of
Procon's sales and related capture activities, including
communication and outreach to prospects and clients, and other
development-related activities. The BD Analyst is responsible for
Procon's sales activities, business development, including all
phases of development, and relationship management. This position
coordinates the day-to-day management of business development
relationships and is responsible for managing an assigned portfolio
of business prospects for all divisions. This position reports to
the Director of Business Development.Responsibilites & Duties*
Pipeline Development: Develop a sales pipeline that demonstrates
continuous progress toward achieving annual targets, including
support and coordination with the internal team of BD Agents.
Support the Marketing Team with proposal development as needed.*
Opportunity Tracking: Monitor multiple sources for private and
public sector opportunities including (but not limited to) Local,
State, and Federal opportunity databases. Serve as internal
Gatekeeper to share, track, and develop opportunities to help drive
new business growth.* Prospect Research: Researches qualified
prospects for business projects aligned with Procon's strategic
goals and objectives and the appropriate divisions to gain accurate
prospect information. Will include research of competitors and
working knowledge of B2B partnerships.* Planning and Strategy:
Formulates and executes a marketing and outreach plan for each
division(s). Collaborates with the management team to identify
needed resources or targets, strategic approaches, and preferred
business, and individuals, etc. Strategically accesses business
requests and probabilities in order to set and realize annual
goals.* Business Development: Conducts research, engages in
prospecting, and develops applications to multiple business sources
on a continuous basis. Manages a substantial and constantly growing
portfolio of prospects that will enable growth and financial goal
attainment. Executes on-site meetings, presentations,
communications, and negotiations with qualified prospects. Network,
prospect, and assist in presentations at all internal and external
events. Crafts business proposals and related materials.* BD
Scorecard: Track and maintain key performance metrics including win
rate, Pwin, bid rate, etc. Align metrics to the strategic business
growth plan.* Reporting and Tracking: Maintains prospect management
reporting CRM system and other provided tools, which outline weekly
activities and potential business. Maintains a calendar of reports
to managers on current status of business activities.* Internal
Collaboration: Shares market information and resources with
management staff to enhance the effectiveness of coordinated
business efforts.* CRM Champion: Serve as the internal expert of
our SalesForce CRM tool to align best practices and support a team
of internal BD Agents.Qualifications & Requirements* Minimum 5-7
years of business development, or sales experience required.*
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.* Expert
experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
(e.g. Salesforce, MS Dynamics, etc.) is required.* Experience in
the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) is a plus.*
Experience in Federal Government opportunities databases (FBO,
betaSam.gov, GovWin, etc) is Preferred.* Proven ability to create
and successfully execute a business development plan to meet annual
sales targets.* Skill in networking and communicating a passion for
the mission of Procon Ability to aggressively and consistently
follow up and follow through, with determined self- motivation and
autonomy.* Experience in planning, leading, and managing business
development projects, including coordinating with management to
achieve desired outcomes, and tracking and reporting on progress.
Highly skilled in upward management* Ability to maintain high level
of organization, to create processes, to manage several projects at
once, and to meet deadlines.* Experience in creating and delivering
powerful, compelling written and oral communications.* Ability to
convey complex ideas through brief, simple materials.* Success in
conveying experience, credibility, and confidence when engaging
external audiences.* Excellent written and verbal communication
skills.* Evidence of sound judgment, discretion, and highest
ethical standards.* PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee is
frequently required to see, talk, hear, walk, and sit. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally
push or lift up to 20 lbs. such as boxes, supplies, etc. The above
