Job Description:
Software Engineer II (Sterling, VA) Duties: Designing, developing, building and testing reusable
efficient software modules for different components of the platform and coding in core java. Designing and implementing new
frontend features for Data Management Platform (DMP) offering. Interpreting business and functional
requirements, analyzing technical specifications, designing and developing technical solutions that meet business needs.
Collaborating with other engineers, product teams, customers, and third party vendors to provide technical
direction on system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. Performing all stages of the Software Development
Life Cycle. Tracking work progress and creating reports. Developing and implementing processes and procedures
for Automated Deployments and Continuous Integration. Proving ongoing maintenance, support and
enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Continuously review and enhance processes and operating procedures to
maintain the most cost effective enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Identifying and promoting best practices and
patterns for setup, configuration and management including databases, servers, and network and storage
systems. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field and two (2) years’ experience performing Java design and
development in a Domain Name System (DNS); or in the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years’ experience as
indicated above. Special Requirements: Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): with Test-driven
development (TDD) including writing, designing, and testing code into production; DE automating and improving
infrastructure, using Open Source Tools including Chef, Puppet, and Ansible for configuration management and
orchestration; DE leveraging Cloud Computing, specifically Linux on Amazon Web Services (AWS); DE leveraging Web and Mobile
User Interfaces, specifically Angular, Protractor, and Karma; and DE utilizing Rest APIs, SWL (Oracle) and noSQL
