Outpatient Imaging - White OakAdventist Healthcare Imaging seeks to hire an experienced Lead CT Technologist who will embrace our mission to extend Gods care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.As a Lead CT Technologist, you will: Perform CT examinations in accordance with the protocols established by the radiologists. Demonstrate proficiency in operating CT-scanner and all ancillary equipment within CT department. Perform all required quality control on the CT scanner. Assist radiologist and other staff in interventional procedures. Accurately perform documentation in all computer systems within CT and Imaging Services pertinent to CT scanning (RIS, PACS, image reformatting) Understand principles and dangers involved in the administration of oral and intravenous contrast. Identify contraindications to IV contrast administration and recognize symptoms of IV contrast reactions. Properly identify patients, review orders and select scanning protocols in order to maximize quality and safe patient care in CT. Maximize patient throughput and demonstrate teamwork with coworkers by managing large patient volume. Work with the Director, Manager and Radiologist to develop policies, procedures and protocols including dose reduction activities. Maintain written protocols for each site and ensure that the protocols in the systems are consistent with the written protocols. Be responsible for accreditation requirements and participate in performance improvement initiatives, image quality checks and other duties as assigned.
