Job Description:
Summary You will serve as a GG-1520-14 Mathematician at the
HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER in Suitland, MDAs the Chief
Architect and subject matter expert in the N5 Transformation
Department responsible for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)
Maritime Intelligence Production Systems portfolio, you will
conduct systems engineering work and technical planning for Science
and Technology systems and data architecture requirements and
issuesDuties--- You will maintain a comprehensive library of
Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) drawings
depicting the "as is" and "to be" architecture for the assigned
segment of the IT enterprise.--- You will align IT strategies with
mission requirements to define and produce Plans of Action and
Milestones for executing Information Technology migration and
transformative implementations within the assigned segment of the
IT enterprise.--- You will collaborate with team leaders, senior IT
specialists, supervisors, and customers to define system and task
requirements.--- You will create or review technical solutions
using approved tools, techniques, and standards.--- You will
determine viable technology solutions through research,
prototyping, and outreach.--- You will engage other organizations
for reusable technical solutions, cost sharing opportunities,
outsourcing options, joint ventures, IT guidance and standards,
data feeds/interfaces, enterprise services, and shared services.---
You will support data and system architecture aspects for assigned
projects during the concept, definition, design, development, and
deployment phasesRequirements Conditions of Employment--- Must be a

(within/outside U.S.)Qualifications In addition to the Basic
Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate
at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or
equivalent experience in the private or public sectorSpecialized
experience must demonstrate the following duties such as: 1Define
and produce Plans of Action and Milestones for executing
Information Technology migration and transformative implementations
within the assigned segment of the IT enterprise.
2Conduct analyses of alternatives and produce alternate courses of
actions to transform systems and IT enterprise elements to fulfill
requirements and meet business and cost reduction
objectives3Collaborate with internal and external personnel to
define system and task requirements and translate business
requirements into applicable system solutions4Communicate complex
transformation engineering plans based on sound return on
investment and meeting mission requirement principles to senior
leaders.
5Support data and system architecture aspects for assigned projects
during the concept, definition, design, development, and deployment

Manual: Applicants must possess: ADegree: mathematics; or the
equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in
mathematicsOR BCombination of education and experience -- courses
equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24
semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus
appropriate experience or additional educationThe total course work
in either A or B above must have included differential and integral
calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses
requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a
