Position Summary:
Training Resources Group, Inc. (TRG) is recruiting for a Senior Project Associate to work on a multi-year USAID funded project, Leading through Learning Global Platform (LTLGP). LTLGP is a five-year (three-year base period + two-year option period) project managed by the Center for Education in USAID's Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI). The 5-year project was awarded in August of 2020 and TRG is implementing this project as a sub-contractor to EDC. Through this project, USAID Washington works to provide timely support to Missions and field-level education projects through face-to-face and virtual technical support, professional development (PD) opportunities, and research and evaluation initiatives.

The Senior Project Associate will provide support to the professional development functional areas for the Leading through Learning Global Platform (LTLGP) team. This support will primarily include webinar production, training/course/workshop preparation, materials development, and logistics and coordination for in person, hybrid, and virtual learning events.

This is a remote position due to the COVID-19 pandemic.All new hires must show proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Reasonable medical and religious accommodations can be discussed.


Primary Role and Responsibilities:


  • Lead or support project management of assigned activities (e.g., maintain project plans, monitor timelines, ensure timely completion of deliverables, manage approval processes)using Asana
  • Apply adult learning principles to webinar and training designs and participant engagement strategies
  • Develop resources to meet project/clientobjectivesincludingruns of show,slide shows, workbooks, handouts, virtual tools, facilitation guides,and event synthesis documents.
  • Schedule, organize, andtake notes atclientmeetings,ensuring notes and next steps from meetings are accurate in order to developmeetingsummaries, reports, and follow-up action-emails with deadlines and clear assignments


    • Manage client relationships, expectations, and priorities in a multistakeholder and complex operating environment
    • Manage production of virtual trainings and webinars using tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and other platforms and advising on the technological capacity and tools that would be appropriate for each event
    • Support theconceptualization, planning, scheduling, and implementation of learner needs assessments, including capturing and synthesizing findings from focus groups and survey data
    • Manage the organization, storage, and sharing of all activity related materials
    • Coordinate event logistics including venue, supplies, catering, A/V, room set up and tear down, etc. for occasional in-person events


      • Demonstrate willingness and flexibility in learning new virtual platforms
      • Demonstrate qualities and values of employee ownership by providing the highest level of customer service to the organization and clients, including participating in staff meetings, annual retreats, and other TRG events, committees, and workgroups
      • Other duties as required



        Qualifications, Abilities, and Education Requirements:

        • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience in Project Management, Organizational Development, Event Production, Instructional Design, International Development/Affairs, or related fields.
        • Demonstrated track record of success supporting small to mid-sized project teams in a collaborative and fast- paced environment.
        • Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and structure clear, concise written documents.
        • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use discretion and make decisions independently.


          • Ability to work effectively on cross-cultural teams and manage clients from different regions of the world.
          • Excellent attention to detail, effective organizational and time management skills.
          • Possesses a high level of self-motivation, creativity, and eagerness to learn.
          • Able to work some early mornings or late evenings.
          • Experience with virtual webinar platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc.


            • Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Office Products (including Word, Excel and PPT) and Google applications (including Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
            • Interest in international development and/or international education.



              Preferred Skills:

              • Prior experience working with USAID or on USAID-funded contracts or prior experience working with the World Bank Group.


                • French or Spanish language fluency.
                • Some experience with virtual learning tools such as Slido and Padlet.
                • Some experience with graphic or multimedia design.
                • Some experience in event management and planning.
                • Some experience with project management software such as Asana.



                  Physical Requirements:
                  * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
                  * Occasionally may have to lift up to 15 pounds.
