Arlington, VA. Hybrid schedule available.POSITION SUMMARYThe Donor
Relations Associate works closely with the Annual Giving Manager on
key Development Team program needs related to growing the Annual
Giving program and fundraising in support of increased general
operating funds (currently $4-5M annually). This position is
responsible for coordinating annual giving efforts across the
Development and Marketing and Communications teams and will work
extensively with Raiser's Edge CRM and Luminate Online. The ideal
candidate will be highly detail-oriented and organized, have
excellent written and oral communication skills, and should be
comfortable with a workload that will shift fluidly between
time-sensitive projects. This is a fast-paced, exciting opportunity

landscape.RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE To perform this job

- In concert with the Annual Giving Manager, develop annual
giving editorial calendar for e-communications and hard copy
mailings, including:
- Write and execute monthly donor e-communications newsletter and
periodic special edition emails.
- Coordinate and oversee internal review processes for written
copy.
- Assist with campaign tracking and reporting.
- Assist supporters with donation questions and inquiries,
becoming knowledgeable about The Conservation Fund's projects.
- Liaise with Marketing and Communications Team to:
- Coordinate media needs for campaigns and emails.
- Coordinate paid advertising and explore new digital advertising
opportunities.
- Draft fundraising campaign materials such as social media,
website content, emails and other copy as needed.
- Liaise with Development Research team to conduct Annual Giving
donor research to identify top tier mid-level donors for the Annual
Giving Manager.
- Manage Annual Giving program hard copy mailings from The
Conservation Fund's headquarters office, including
winter/spring/summer outreach and fundraising efforts.
- Manage hard copy mailings as needed for the broader Development
Team, such as Planned Giving mailings.
- Manage relationship with America's Charities and other
memberships.
- Writing for blog, website, Annual Report, etc. as time
permits.
- Assist with gift processing and tax acknowledgment letters
during November-February, when the volume of gifts greatly
increases, and the broader Development Operations team needs
assistance.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-4 years of work experience (internships and volunteer
experience included), ideally in a nonprofit Development
department.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work well
independently and as part of a team.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented and strong work ethic.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet
deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful
environment.
- Passion and interest in the mission of The Conservation Fund.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree.
- Conservation experience.
- Knowledge of environmental/conservation nonprofits.
- Prior work with a Development Team or in fundraising.
- Knowledge of working directly with donors.
- Experience with Blackbaud products.PHYSICAL DEMANDS (if

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer. WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in an office setting.
- This position does require sporadically working long hours
and/or weekends.
- Estimated travel - 0%. COMPENSATION and BENEFITSThe salary
range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000, and the position is
eligible for opportunities to earn performance-based bonus
compensation. The Fund offers a highly competitive package of
