Position Title: Associate Scientist, Analytical Development
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week
Summary of Duties: Work in a dynamic, matrix team to support
analytical development, manufacturing process development,
formulation development, and tech transfer. Develop and perform
routine enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and cell-based
bioassay testing, as well as residual impurities analysis to
support product and process characterizations. Plan and execute
experiments and troubleshoot technical problems. Set up new lab and
procedures, including lab automation. Support instrument
maintenance. Plan and perform analytical method development,
optimization, and qualification. Perform data management tasks
including data analysis. Generate experimental protocols and
documentation, and report results within the department and at the
cross-functional level.
Qualifications: The position requires a Master's degree in
Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field and 2 years of
experience in the job offered or as a Research Associate, R&D
Intern, Research Intern or related occupation.
The position requires experience in the following: Working in
aseptically and maintaining Mammalian cell culture, developing
cell-based bioassays, and conducting Host Cell DNA and Host Cell
Protein analysis; Practical experience in molecular biology
techniques; Operation and maintenance of automated nucleic acid
extraction and QuantStudio 5, Vi- CELL BLU cell viability analyzer,
plate-reader, plate washer, and Biacore instruments; AccuSEQ,
SoftMax Pro, and Biacore Insight softwares; Lab safety and EHS
regulations and biohazard waste management for BSL2 lab.
