ISA is seeking data scientists, data analysts and data engineers to support our consulting and advisory services to Department of Defense customers. Our projects require dynamic individuals who possess skills in strategic thinking, solutions development, business process improvement, policy research, technical writing, presentation design, and data sciences. Data Engineer: Data Engineers are expected to design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at scale. Data engineers are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data architectures. Successful Data Engineers will create data pipelines used by data scientists, data-centric applications, data analysts and other data consumers.Data Analyst: Data analyst are expected to collect, clean, visualize and interpret data sets in order to answer questions or solve a problems. Successful Data Analysts will be expected to be proficient in gleaning insights from data to inform better business decisions via an iterative process that calls for competency in data identification, data collection, data cleansing, and analysis, interpretation and visualization of data.Data Scientist: The Data Scientist is responsible for overseeing the collection, storage and interpretation of data for businesses. The Data Scientist generates value from data via statistical and analytical methods plus AI tools to automate specific processes within the organization and develop smart solutions to business challenges. At ISA, Data Scientists lead all data-related efforts and takes the data visualizations created by data analysts a step further, employing advanced statistical methods and algorithms to sift through the data to identify weaknesses, trends, or opportunities for an organization. This role also requires a background in math or computer science, along with some study or insight into human behavior to help make informed predictions.ISA is hiring data professionals at all levels of experience.

    Tableau Visualization Analyst Responsibilities:
    The Tableau Visualization Analyst will be responsible for building interactive visualizations using Tableau to tie various data points from multiple sources to create compelling and meaningful customer-facing dashboards and reports. A high level of data analytics as well as technical bench strength to work with multiple data sources based on SQL, NoSQL, Textual and other databases will be required to succeed in this position. The Tableau Data Visualization Analyst will be part of a data science/engineering/analyst team focused on business intelligence and work closely with ISA product managers to collectively deliver state-of-the-art data analytics for ISA's customer base.
    The following skills are required:

    • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative in solutions and product development
    • Work experience as a data analyst or in a related field
    • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks
    • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations Create responsive dashboards, reports, and visualization in Tableau
    • Design and develop performant and scalable Data Sources from SQL, Textual or NoSQL databases to power Tableau visualizations
    • Be a key contributor in our efforts to position BI customer-facing solutions for growth.
    • Work in an agile team environment to deliver results on a consistent iterative basis
    • Communicate and keep your team up to date in daily standup meetings, hallway conversations, online team chats, and via documentation of your work
    • Participate in planning activities
    • Influence product direction by requirements review & provide feedback to product owners
    • Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
    • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms
    • High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases
    • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
    • Understanding of addressing and metadata standards
    • All-source analytical competencies and familiarity with data analytics and methodologies
    • Extensive experience with data and analytics presentation and Tableau visualization (and equivalent) development
    • Ability to produce
    • Ability to produce complex graphics, visual charts and data visualizations using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or equivalent
    • Real world, program/project applied data analytics experience
      Desired and considered a plus but not required:

      • Ability to code in Python/JAVA/R or similar language
      • Experience with developing solutions in Tableau
      • Experience with developing solution in Microsoft Power BI
      • Experience with developing solutions in ServiceNow, Apptio or other Technology Business Management Modeling application
        Duties:

        • Serve as a Tableau Visualization subject matter expert
        • Perform Data and Data Sourcing identification
        • Perform all-source research and data analysis to identify business, mission or operational trends and relevant issues
        • Assist the collection of data
        • Assist the Cleaning of data (Defined as fixing or removing incorrect, corrupted, incorrectly formatted, duplicate, or incomplete data within a dataset)
        • Perform Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine
        • Use statistical tools to analyze, assess and interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
        • Demonstrate the significance of their work in the context of local, national, and global trends that impact both their organization and industry
        • Prepare reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
        • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance
        • Create engaging and appropriate documentation for corporate and client stakeholders as specified and that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary
        • Lead data method (observational, experimental, simulation, or derived) capture planning and implementation based on project requirements when applicable to position level
        • Brief corporate and client stakeholders on all aspects of assigned project data services when applicable to position level.
        • Evaluate program and operational effectiveness
        • Collaborate with Program Managers to develop and implement new programs
        • Track and document performance metrics across the organization
        • Present recommendations to management and other stakeholders
        • Lead or participate in internal whiteboard solutions sessions and related engagements with action officer-level customers and stakeholders
        • Assist Program leadership with senior-leader briefings through provision of subject matter expertise
        • Track program/project status and schedules

          Supervisory Responsibilities: As necessary commensurate to position and ability. This position may require provision of 'Task Lead'-level leadership on ISA projects. Individual Task Leads will be expected to supervise, coordinate, and consolidate the inputs and efforts of Junior Analysts and Subject Matter Experts.Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess at least a current and active Secret clearance with ability to achieve TS/SCI. Preference for those already possessing TS/SCI.Experience Required:
          Experience in any of the following: Data Analyst, Business Analysis, or Intelligence Analysis

          • Associate: 1-5 years experience in all Duties Section descriptions
          • Manager: 5-10 years experience in all Duties Section descriptions
          • Director: 10+ years experience in all Duties Section descriptions
          • Managing Director: 20+ years experience in all Duties Section descriptions
            Preferred 3+ years of experience of in ANY of the following: defense contracting, federal civilian employment, or military service (to include National Guard and Reserve)
            Education and Qualifications:
            Requires Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.

            • Tableau Data Analyst Certification
            • 3-5 years Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server/Administration
            • Demonstrably experienced in any of the fields of Software Engineering/Architecture, Data Analytics, Big Data, or Database Development/Warehousing.
            • Highly skilled in developing Tableau visualizations.
              Compensation:
              ISA offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. Positions and base salaries are commensurate with level and type of experience, education, expertise, certifications, specific skills, etc. Below is a guide for salary range by position.               • Associate: $40,000 - $62,100
              • Manager: $50,000 - $125,080
              • Director: $105,000 - $177,000
              • Managing Director: $145,800 - $207,635
