SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Blackwatch International is seeking an Information Assurance Lead in support of our Federal Agency client in Arlington, VA. The Information Assurance Lead is responsible for providing security management support for Cybersecurity and Computer Network Defense (CND). This work includes developing and maintaining security policies and creating, submitting, and maintaining certification and accreditations (C&A) packages, plans, exercises, connection approvals, cross domain solutions, and security engineering.
Responsibilities


  • Manages Information Assurance, Cyber Security, and Computer Network Defense in support of the client's mission.
  • Assigns work and provides project tracking and oversight to others including contractors and developers assigned to project.
  • Provides technical leadership, guides technical direction, and participates in architectural decisions.
  • Creates and maintains C&A for client's systems and applications
  • Monitors, analyzes, detects, and responds to unauthorized activity within IT systems and networks.
  • Assesses IT security requirements and monitors industry trends.
  • Maintains current knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and directives that govern Cybersecurity planning, acquisition, project management, resource management and Cyber IT Work Force Management.
  • Ensures the legacy network equipment meets all required Information Assurance specifications and configurations.
  • Creates and updates all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in support of Cybersecurity operations.
  • Supports Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and patch management.
  • Supports processes surrounding security accreditation (operational authority) and connection approval activities.
  • Supports Disaster Recovery/ Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning.
  • Supports management of overall risk to the IT Enterprise.

    Qualifications


    • TS/SSBI.
    • U.S. Citizen.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or Computer Science,
    • Ten (10) years of overall IA/Cyber Assurance experience.
    • Three (3) years of experience managing technical staff.
    • Familiar with information assurance guidance from various Department of Defense, Department of Navy (DON) and National Institute of Standards (NIST) instructions to support implementation of decision making at the client site.
    • Experience managing a team of cyber professionals and their use of tools such as HBSS, ACAS, ePO server, Norton and Symantec antiviral software, McAfee SIEM, Websense, Appscan and providing oversight performing security test and evaluations (certification testing), DIACAP or its successor RMF security certification and accreditation of systems, networks, and sites.
    • Experience in leading the team to perform security test and evaluations (certification testing) and develops plans and procedures to implement a secure cyber environment.


      Required Certifications:


      • DOD Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) DoD 8570 IAM Level II.
