You will be responsible for crafting robust architectural recommendations and delivering Statements of Work (SOWs) that engineering teams can successfully execute. You will assist customers in developing and executing on their Cloud architecture strategy. Through your collaborative interactions with our teams and clients, you'll have an active role in shaping our customer's experience from start to finish.This GCP Cloud Sales Engineer will be getting calls from customers who have questions about all the areas of GCP. You will be leading architectural review workshops where people are having issues with their architecture and you will show them how to make it better.Responsibilities for the GCP Cloud Sales Engineer:
  • In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Cloud Technology and Google Cloud Platform deployments.
  • As a trusted customer advocate, you will help customers understand best practices for cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to these solutions.
  • Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.ProfileThe successful GCP Cloud Sales Engineer will have the following:
    • Strong GCP knowledge, ability to talk about GCP with clients
    • Experience implementing across GCP
    • Experience with container engines: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Elastic Container Service
    • Experience with automation technologies including Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, AWS Cloud Formation or Microsoft Azure Automation
    • Experience leading technical design sessions, architecting, and documenting technical solutions that are aligned with client business objectives, and identifying gaps between the client's current and desired end states
    • Experience strategizing, designing, architecting, and leading the deployment of scalable solutions on GCP
    • Experience with traditional and cloud infrastructure and cloud migrations
    • Specify the deliverables of services projects by developing detailed project scopes of work (SOWs)
    • Experience working with engineering and sales teams to elicit customer requirements
    • Ability to communicate across business units and the ability to interface with and communicate complex technical concepts to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
