Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining the technical and
conceptual specifications in support of the overall program
database designs;
- Supporting the design, development and ongoing operations of
the IPPS-A database applications, tools and environments;
- Supporting the development, testing and CM teams for
Functional/Security and Performance Testing, code packaging and
code migration to various Test and Production environments;
- Working closely with other DBAs, application administrators,
developers, and testers to improve system performance, data
quality, define requirements and develop solutions to complex
problems;
- Working to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet
program goals and deliverable objectives;
- Provide rotational on-call, 24/7 support for production
environments;
- Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the
Infrastructure Manager. Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree and 7-10 years of related experience;
- Active DoD Secret clearance; SSBI preferred;
- Must have a current DOD 8570.01-M IAT Level II - Security+
(minimum);
- 5+ years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA;
- Proven experience installing, configuring, tuning, patching and
upgrading Oracle 11g/12c/19c on Solaris & Linux;
- 2+ years' experience working as a DBA in support of
PeopleSoft;
- Solid understanding of Oracle database, Exadata, Solaris and
Linux. Desired Qualifications:
- Experience implementing and supporting Database Vault, Golden
Gate, Audit Vault;
- Experience working in support of PeopleSoft ERP;
- Experience with volatile storage and recovery techniques;
- Experience with ZFS helpful;
- Experience with Oracle Superclusters;
- Experience working in DISA and working within the DISA DECC
environment;
- Experience with DOD STIG application is a big plus;
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 19c and Oracle
Recovery Manager (RMAN) and have Unix shell scripting, SQL
Scripting and PL/SQL experience;
- Knowledge of Oracle advanced security concepts is a major
plus;
- Minimum of 2 years of Oracle SQL or PL/SQL development
experience;
- Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery
architecture and configuration;
- Experience supporting reporting and other business processes
using high-volume data sources across SDLC environments (Dev, Test,
UAT, Prod);
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a
strong focus on customer service and solution ownership;
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner,
demonstrate strong problem solving skills and is successful when
working in Integrated Product Teams;
- Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate multiple,
dynamic and competing priorities;
- Proven mastery of troubleshooting techniques and the ability to
solve problems quickly;
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional helpful
but not required.
