Job Description:

GCyber is hiring an Endpoint Security Engineer responsible for designing, engineering, implementing, and managing endpoint technologies for the US Coast Guard's 60K+ endpoints. --- The Endpoint Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining endpoint security solutions to protect the organization's network and systems from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have experience with both McAfee Host-Based Security System (HBSS) and the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and a strong understanding of endpoint security best practices and technologies. As the Endpoint Security Engineer, you will: Design, implement, and maintain endpoint security solutions, including McAfee HBSS and ACAS.Monitor network and systems for security breaches and investigate any incidents using ACAS.Provide ongoing maintenance and support for endpoint security solutions, including software upgrades and patches.Configure and implement security controls to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of sensitive information using HBSS and ACAS.Work with other teams to ensure endpoint security aligns with overall IT and information security policies and standards.Utilize vulnerability management solution such as ACAS to Identify, track, and prioritize vulnerabilities on endpoints and other systems.Stay current with the latest endpoint security threats, trends, and technologies and recommend solutions to improve the organization's security posture. Minimum Qualifications and Experience:Active DoD Secret ClearanceBA/BS degree 8+ years of experience, including hands-on HBSS engineering experienceStrong understanding of endpoint security best practices and technologies in the DoD, including HBSS, ACAS, and Windows DefenderDoD 8570 IAT III Certification or higher (e.g., CISSP, CASP, CCSP, CISA, CCNP Security, GCIH, GSEC)GCyber is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
