Intern, Special Projects (West Coast based preferred - Remote Role)

Intern, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Executive Producer, Special Projects


  • Students will conduct research and administrative duties for major projects starting with Mighty Real.

  • Interns will update lists, search for companies, individuals, philanthropists, and organizations that could become sponsors of WETA productions.

  • Research materials and fact checking data

  • May communicate with affinity groups related to film topics.

  • Collaborate with other interns for team tasks and projects

  • Perform other duties as needed related to a project.


    • Passion for industry work/assignments.

    • Ability to be resourceful and conduct research thru multiple methods of media on the internet.

    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel/Google Sheets.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.

    • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and propose ideas.

    • Ability to commit 3 to 5 hours a week for at least 6 months.


      • To be eligible, interns must be currently enrolled in a college or university or have graduated within 12 months from the beginning of the internship.

      • Interns may receive academic credit for their internship if approved and arranged by their educational institution.

      • Ability to project priorities and meet deadlines.

      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
