At ManTech International Corporation, you'll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Aerospace Engineerto support the DARPA Tactical Technology Office (TTO) in Arlington, VA. Duties will include but are not limited to:Responsible for technical support in reviewing, evaluating, assessing and formulating recommendations on adavcned aerospace systems and aerodynamic sub-systemsWork closely with the Government team throughout the life cycle of the program, including coordinating with the upper management of all stakeholdersPerform independent reviews and detailed technical assessments of aerodynamic system designsSupport detailed technical assessments of specific task elements with regard to progress, technical risk, and potential program impact of failureProvide reviews and assessments, systems analyses of applicable technologies and operational concepts, system requirements, technical and performance analyses, test plans, executions, results, and related documentationReview acquisition related documentsParticipate in development and engineering design reviewsParticipate in readiness reviewsParticipate in the management of verification efforts for key performance objectivesParticipate in ground testing, flight tests, or simulationsParticipate in post-test analysis activities and review and analysis of test dataPrepare briefs and meeting minutesReview and provide recommendations for CDRLs and other documentsRespond to official requests for information and other tasks from Government clients and stakeholdersAdvising Government clients on incoming technical proposals and white papersDiscuss new ideas for Government programs with researchersTrack the progress of contracted researchers on their Government programs, including independent testing, and eventual technology transition to end usersParticipate in key intra- and interagency meetingsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:A minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in the development of air systemsA demonstrated record of technical achievement in the development of aerodynamic systems, including hands-on design, code, build or test experienceExperience with systems flying in , subsonic, transonic and supersonic flight regimesDemonstrated experience on multidisciplinary teams on large, complex, multi-phase programsAbility to work in a dynamic team environment, interact with performer and customer senior-level managementWorking knowledge of the Department of Defense research and development and acquisition processesBachelors of Science (BS) degree in a related field, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related fieldSecurity Clearance Requirement:Position requires a Secret security clearanceFor all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license. The applicant will be required to answer certain questions for export control purposes, and that information will be reviewed by compliance personnel to ensure compliance with federal law.
