Job Overview: Under the direction of the Vice President (VP) of Corporate Security this position is responsible for implementing the security and counterintelligence policies and programs for In-Q-Tel which impact our partners, employees, and portfolio companies. The FSO position is primarily responsible for administering and executing a strong security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and associated corporate and government policies and directives. The FSO will also assist in managing compliance with all security related matters as described in the IQT Contract and Description of Work (DOW) with IQTs contract partners.Responsibilities
    • Assist on strategic decisions related to security
    • Work as a member of a security team consisting of the VP and Director
    • Maintain a current security plan including all IQT security policies and procedures
    • Enforce IQT compliance with the corporate security plan, as well as any security requirements imposed by the government contract partner
    • Ensure compliance with applicable CIA security requirements and that all members of the IQT team (employees, contractors, and portfolio companies) are regularly advised of security requirements
    • Manage all security clearance requests for IQT and IQT portfolio company personnel
    • Conduct security indoctrinations and access briefings for personnel approved for security clearances
    • Ensure compliance with all contract partner rules and regulations related to the maintenance and operations of the SCIF at IQTs Headquarters
    • Respond to and comply with all security related requests by the Contracting Officer or COTR
    • Conduct due-diligence investigations (background and clearance) on new and current employees, including transfers of security clearances
    • Serve as a POC to our IC partners on IQT security-related issues
    • Assist with corporate security infrastructure and plans for physical security at all IQT offices and outreach events intended for government audiences
    • Assist with the administration and execution of a comprehensive security education program for all employees and cleared contractors
    • Manage and implement physical security safeguards for the protection of personnel and company property including oversight of access control systems, alarms, cameras and security vendors.
    • Maintain professional and technical proficiency by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.Qualifications
      • Ability to obtain/maintain a ISSA/TS/SCI Security Clearance with FS Poly required
      • Industrial/personnel/physical security and counterintelligence operations experience
      • Experience with Intelligence Community Directives and NISPOM compliance
      • Strong writing, organizational and analytical skills
      • Working knowledge of DoD and/or Intelligence Community security processes and protocols
      • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of related or equivalent experience
      • Interagency experience considered a strong plus
