This role supports our AIRWorks customer in Arlington, VA (on-site).Job Description and Responsibilities: This position will provide technical, integration and logistics support to Air Domain Awareness Systems AIRWorks Team in support the Project Manager at the Pentagon. The candidate is responsible for providing technical expertise and logistics support of the integration, installation, analysis, test & evaluation and deployment of the ADAS effort. Primary tasks include:Supporting the AIRWorks Director and Deputy DirectorSupporting the ADAS Integrated Project Team LeadCoordinating all detailed task assignments with AIRWorks Leadership, while maintaining the ability to work independently to plan and execute all project requirementsThe Candidate will support the ADAS efforts to include:Performing technical support of daily operations of the ADAS system to include systems operations, equipment installation maintenance and repair, ground station support, software installation and maintenance, system operator support, installation of system upgrades and modifications, configuration management, and airworthinessProvide direct support to the Project Manager and Lead Systems EngineerSupport of specification development and technical review of reports and contract deliverablesSupport for air vehicle, ground station, and sensor integration including flight Clearance supportContract documentation support for asset modification developing SOW for engineering requirements/efforts, engineering analysis of technical documentation, planning leading to requirements and specification definition for a follow-on procurements and sensor integration efforts, review system/subsystem ICDs for interface gapsAssist in performing gap analysis and providing recommendations for system improvementsParticipate in trade studies that includes evaluating proposed technical solutions and their physical implementationWork with Government and Industry engineering, product support, manufacturing and program manager personnel, including technical experts from various DoD entitiesBasic Requirements:JOURNEYMAN (Mid): A Journeyman level person within a labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a BA/BS degree. A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently.SENIOR: A Senior level person within a labor category has over 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a MA/MS degree. A Senior level person typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. A Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions: Six (6) years' additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associates Degree plus four (4) years' relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years' additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree. Preferred Skills and Experience:Familiarity with Unmanned mobile control systemFamiliarity with NAVAIR Engineering processesFamiliarity with requirements documentation, including model-based system engineeringAbility to communicate well in team environmentsGood organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPointEducation Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university. Security Clearance: Secret (must be a US Citizen)Telework and Travel: 10% or lessContract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
