Position Summary:
MSI has a robust Communications department that is hiring an intern to provide support on a variety of different avenues. Internships require a maximum commitment of 35 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a paid position.
Please note: U.S. work authorization is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Research related to special projects and bids. Social media posting and analytics. Digital content writing for web and social. Project write ups. Organization of weekly meetings and tracking progress. Foreign aid news round ups and summaries for staff. Special projects as assigned by the Vice President.
Qualifications:

Pursuing a degree in international relations, journalism, or communications strongly preferred.

Professional demeanor and diplomatic communication skills, especially via email and by phone.

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment.

Excellent writing/editing skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software programs quickly, strong background in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Experience with major social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube preferred.

Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required.
