Job Description:

The Role As an Associate within Corporate Development you will work as an internal consultant in a fast-paced environment, supporting the senior leadership team with the design, development, and implementation of projects including: mergers and acquisitions, alliances and divestitures, annual and long term business planning, strategic reviews, new ventures. Role has senior management exposure. Note: Employment-based non-immigrant visa sponsorship and/or assistance is not offered for this specific job opportunity. This role can be filled anywhere in the Eastern United States (Eastern or Central time zones). Clients Generate financial analysis related to M&A, strategic initiatives, new ventures, and competitor analysis Organize and conduct secondary market research and analyses Assist Leadership with the planning, designing, analyzing and implementing various firm-wide initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, alliances and divestitures, strategic reviews, new ventures, annual and long-term business planning Assist in the development of the strategic rationale and value creation for mergers and acquisitions, and help execute on the due diligence and post-close integration processes Manage cross-departmental initiatives and/or work streams across all areas of the firm (firm-wide growth and efficiency opportunities, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing and Communications, etc.) People Act as liaison between senior leadership teams, corporate staff and external consultants Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams across all of our business segments and corporate functions Excellence Develop technical knowledge and skills in the areas of M&A, new ventures and strategy (e.g., financial modelling and valuation, research, project management) Deliver on projects to meet or exceed internal client expectations Drive innovation in the corporate development function The Requirements Self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment with limited oversight/direction Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other relevant area 1-2 years relevant work experience in investment banking, consulting/transaction services, or corporate development Outstanding verbal and written project management, interpersonal and presentation skills Strong organizational skills; able to work and think in a methodical and orderly way Excellent business and financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyze data trends, draw conclusions and develop action plans Proficiency in using the Internet and other tools to conduct research Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Availability to travel up to 25% of the time Flexibility on working hours - global nature of the work means there may be early morning or evening calls Willis Towers Watson is a federal contractor and sub-contractor subject to the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements of Presidential Executive Order 14042.
