CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Security Architect! You will lead and deliver capabilities and services for a major cyber security program supplying guidance to all VA personnel. You will provide direct solutions in the area of strategy, thought leadership, governance and implementation approach for cyber security solutions across all VA. The successful candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual with a strong IT security background who excels in designing and recommending security technology and solutions, including interacting with clients. The successful candidate is a self-starter who works effectively highly dynamic environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Will serve in an Enterprise Security Architecture Lead role.
• This SME works to ensure that deliverables not only maintain technical merits but also have high fidelity to stated VA strategies, goals and objectives.
• The Lead Architect ensures that deliverables address the customer's specific needs and provides the overall technical strategy for guidance, policy and implementation that supports PMO mission needs.
• The Lead Architect acts as the technical lead for the project.
• You will guide the execution of specific tasks and the development of deliverables in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
• You will contribute to both scheduled and unscheduled deliverables.
• You may function as the primary or contributing author of deliverables.
• You shall participate in peer reviews of artifacts and solution to ensure technical adequacy and alignment to customer strategic and mission advancement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Extensive experience in design and development of IT architecture.
• Experience must include a wide range of work in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or technical equivalent (e.g. Information Technology, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
• 10 years of relevant experience additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience (a minimum of 15 years desired).
• Ability to support legacy and new health IT digital architectures including cloud, mobile, IoT, APIs and AI technologies.
• Ability to analysis and research of complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter.
