Qualifications

  • Requires 0 to 2 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years no degree.
  • Requires US citizenship and active Secret security clearance.


Responsibilities

Designs, develops, builds, analyzes, evaluates and installs database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation and configuration management. Defines and oversees database organizations, standards, controls, procedures, and documentation. Provides technical consulting in the definition, design, and creation of a data base environment. Advises applications development staff and users on data-based solutions to business problems, data architectures, data base management system facilities and capabilities, and the operation and tuning of data bases. Ensures economic and efficient availability of data within adequate safeguards. Designs and implements databases with respect to access methods, access time, batch processes, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Determines data storage and optimum storage requirements. Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout the database implementation.

Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. Provide applications systems analysis and long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources.
  • Support Project's Database Application Development & Integration Tasks
  • Applies Agile concepts to coordinate with database engineers working to improve automation.
  • Review all SOPs, installation guides, interconnection security agreements, software design specifications against standards (e.g., ITIL 4, NIST, DOS guidelines) and address gaps; use SharePoint for version control; provide status to CA/CST monthly
  • Integrating applications and databases to SII CI/CD pipeline tools, and implementing RPA and COTS automation
  • Improving documentation (Agile backboard grooming and epic, story, sprint breakdowns)
  • Improving issue/problem triage and understanding end-user issues
  • Modernization- moving current customer DB to SOA and microservices; review and implement available cloud native services; use SOA ESB and architecture for process management, and improving database performance

Salary Minimum: $39,998.40
Salary Maximum:$85,529.60
