Job Description:

The Global Legal HR Team is looking for an experienced Sr. HRBP to provide leadership in the implementation, development, and execution of human resources programs and initiatives. Are you comfortable rolling up your sleeves and diving deep into daily operational HR challenges while keeping an eye on the breadth of HR needs and opportunities across an organization? If so, come join the Legal HR team! This role can be based in the following regional Amazon corporate offices: Arlington, VA, Sunnyvale, CA, or Seattle, WA.

We seek an exceptionally talented and confident Sr. HRBP who consistently demonstrates high judgement and value added decision making. You will partner with various senior leaders in Legal, primarily VP's and their respective leadership teams, to develop and execute the HR strategies and planning activities that foster organizational and people effectiveness. You must be able to quickly discern organizational priorities, translate them into an HR agenda that supports the org, and implement action plans which move the org forward. You will serve as a liaison between the business and the central corporate teams to assess the HR needs in performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development. You must be able to effectively coach, brainstorm, communicate, and problem solve with leaders and employees across all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree; 10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working with multiple cross functional partners
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement in people strategies and initiatives
  • Experience conducting complex investigations
  • Ability to work autonomously and yet thrive in a team environment
  • Exceptionally resilient with a good sense of humor
  • Experience working in a corporate, as well as operations/production/manufacturing environment
  • Extensive senior leadership engagement with significant client coaching and consulting experience; coaching certification a plus
  • Expertise in leadership and organizational development
  • Ability to travel within the US approximately 25% of the time, and as appropriate
