We are excited to announce that we seek to hire a Corporate Communications Specialist to help craft and drive our marketing efforts and public relations campaigns. This role will report directly to the CEO and help shape the company's messaging and image. The Corporate Communications Specialist will work with the company's senior executives to set the marketing direction that showcases the company and its innovative approach as an exciting newcomer in an existing, somewhat stodgy competitive environment. The focus will be on producing compelling content for social media, the website, and marketing collateral - writing powerful pieces, using cool imagery, showcasing strategic positioning, creating eye-catching videos, and generating value. Excellent writing skills are an absolute requirement for success in this position, as well as inquisitive nature, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to have some fun. The Corporate Communications Specialist will build a proactive program that focuses on how TechFlow is supporting customers, employees, and communities.The Corporate Communications Specialist will be an energetic, enthusiastic storyteller who can work across teams and various executives and team members to develop compelling stories via the most effective internal and external media and channels. This individual will have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization and have a track record of generating results. The Corporate Communications Specialist will need to have experience working with senior teams and possess the tempered confidence and know-how to guide communications activities. Technological skills are a must - this position will need to understand how to create and drive content across media platforms at business speed!This role can be telecommute/virtual or based in one of our office locations.Key Responsibilities: Refine, implement and sustain a strategic communications marketing and engagement plan; Manage communication projects, including tracking, reporting status, project budgets and measurement of tactics; Create and manage a communications content calendar that aligns with corporate activities and creates the right cadence for launching new material; Measure results of communications activities and update plans accordingly to capitalize on successful activities to drive meaningful outcomes; Build and implement multi-channel communications projects that inform and motivate target audiences, employees, ensuring that tactics align with business goals and is consistent across the company; Generate content, packaging it for consumption: pulling ideas from staff, finding interesting tidbits or unique accomplishments, writing them up, and getting them published into an impactful format Work with the team to identify and develop stories, case studies, testimonials, and interesting, relevant news Create short analytical articles that convey key trends or positional information Leverage research and metrics to drive messaging Maintain our social media presence and ensure consistent and engaging activity across platforms Manage our public relations efforts, including major news announcements and/or work with outside consultants to secure earned media Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material and/or work with outside vendors to get them created Deploy tactics to engage and openly exchange information with key individuals and organizations across the stakeholder spectrum Conduct outreach and provide responses that promote communications with all stakeholders Assess, develop, and implement methods to improve corporate communications Review essential documents for grammar and punctuation and consistency with the organization's style and format Perform analyses to identify current and future potential communication channels; identify target audiences; define internal and external perceptions; and identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in those areas. Requirements Minimum five (5) years of experience working in Corporate Communications Previous experience in professional services, federal government contracting, staff augmentation Experience of exceptional writing, editing, proofing skills and a proven track record of employing both skills across a variety of topics; Expressive developing multiple communications materials for publication, internet, strategic initiatives, user manuals, training materials, installation guides, functional system descriptions, special reports, white papers, reports, etc.; A portfolio that demonstrates creative content and conceptual thinking (candidates are recommended to submit previous examples of work and writing samples); Experience creating and managing content on networks, internet platforms and social media; Knowledge and experience with print and electronic media campaigns; Experience providing web publishing support including creating/updating web publishing; Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field from an accredited college or university.Desired Qualifications: Work experience in Federal Contracting and Professional Services space a plus, as well as writing solutions that are technical oriented; Expertise with interactive marketing, communications and/or information technology including a solid understanding of search engine optimization and search engine marketing. Strong visual creative abilities that enable the effective use of illustrations, graphics, and tables to explain a trend or story; Strong deductive and analytical skills required to identify key takeaways from data presented in tables, charts, through discussion and/or from written analysis and then have the ability to write about it in clear, easy-to-understand prose; Good organizational skills as he or she manages an editorial calendar for social media content, press releases, and other marketing communications in order to maintain a consistent and relevant presence; Good communication skills and the ability to talk to individuals at all levels; Good general understanding of business value (e.g., when they pull a story, they should understand how to position it for sizzle using their skills to pull entertaining facts); Successful track record as a collaborator, multi-tasker and self-starter who exercises discretion and independent judgment; Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with leadership, technical and administrative staff; Graphic design experience and ability preferred.
