As part of the Amazon Health Global FinOps Services team, you will find yourself working with exceptionally talented and determined people committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and process excellence. To support the growth of Amazon health, prescription drug and businesses beyond this candidate must possess a strong passion for accountability, setting high standards, raising the bar, and driving results through constant focus on improving existing and future state operations, systems, and processes. The ideal candidate will be able to think big to create a long-term plan, but have exceptional tactical and dive deep skills to drive day-to-day implementation. They will be able to learn quickly and be willing to experiment with new ideas.This leader will help build an in-house, regulatory compliant, financial operations function by creating a roadmap and multi-gen plan to achieve it. This includes driving ownership of key deliverables across businesses, tech teams, and other stakeholders in order to implement scalable solutions. The role will use complex problem solving skills, manage multiple high visibility priorities, and maintain a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.Create a vision and roadmap to build a world-class, health services within our Financial Operations (FinOps) support centers.Drive program objectives - provide program management and define project plans, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support. Conduct internal and external benchmarking.Develop mechanisms to seamlessly support healthcare segment with new program launches within the US and worldwide.Define key performance indicators - develop metrics and service level agreements for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.Partner with the Amazon Care and Pharmacy (Pillpack) team to layout new improved processes as each business expands regionally, offers new services to customer/patients and setup for scale as volumes grow.Work with Payer groups (e.g. Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), insurance companies and medical providers to streamline funds flow, cash matching (netting of fees, etc.) and cash application.Ensure policy and processes meet applicable laws and data policiesPartner with the service provider for Pillpack to learn details of the billing and reimbursement process. Identify areas of synergy with FinOps processes & systems.Work with Care team to define new revenue cycle management process and systems. Identify areas of synergy with FinOps processes & systems.Evolve current systems and identify opportunities to leverage existing ones as business scales.Ability to lead a team of program managers, financial analysts to achieve business objectives and metrics.Basic qualificationsBasic Qualifications7+ years of finance, finance operations, or related experience5+ years of experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry7+ years of experience in program or project managementBachelor's degree in a relevant area of expertise such as business or financeMinimum of 5 years of successful team leadershipKnowledge of revenue cycle processes within healthcare industryFinancial management skills including the ability to financially analyze data for operations, auditing, and forecasting; basic accounting knowledge; staffing and financial reporting skills.Experience leading cross-org discussions and working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve common goal.Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills at the executive level.Strong critical thinking skills with ability to challenge normal operations.Must possess solid analytical skills and be able to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.Strong bias for action and be able to work iteratively.Possesses an exceptional eye for detail and process improvement.Trained in HIPAA guidelinesPreferred qualificationPreferred QualificationsMBAExpert knowledge of the financial transactions flow and reimbursement process including wholesaler, manufacturer, patient, PBM, etc.Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teamsStrong analytical acumen and being comfortable with drawing metric-based conclusionsProven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving resultsSDL2017
