Together, we are an integral part of an important mission -- we go to work every day with the knowledge and pride that our accomplishments make a difference.HII- Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is looking to hire an Industrial Control Systems Emergency Response- Senior Technician or Lead in their Arlington, VA location, supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).The ICS-CERT SME is responsible for supporting a team that coordinates infrastructure control systems-related cybersecurity incidents and information sharing. This role includes enhancing current operational capabilities for the defense of control system environments against emerging cyber threats. The role may involve managing cyber security incident response professionals of all experience levels.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProvide cybersecurity incident response for Industrial Control Systems under the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC), which is responsible for coordinating and orchestrating national protection, prevention, mitigation, and recovery activities associated with significant cyber and communication incidents.Respond to and analyze industrial control systems-related incidents; and, support staff who are providing onsite incident response under the Industrial Control Systems-Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) to include scheduling and logistical coordination.Organize and track pre/post assessment activities and associated deliverables; assist with the development of survey instruments, forms, and questionnaires; and, monitor record keeping procedures for accuracy and compilation of data.Perform initial forensic collection of digital information and gather and handle evidence.Identify network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators.Manage appropriate and approved channels in government and private industry to maintain a high degree of situational awareness for the purpose of communicating and distributing actionable intelligence.Work with the NCCIC team, senior staff, and project managers to analyze and interpret the results of the data and coordinating the responsible disclosure of vulnerabilities.Support governments related National Initiative Cybersecurity Education (NICE) related to DHS.Minimum Qualifications9-13 Years with Bachelors or 7-11 Years with Masters or 4-8 Year with Phd or JD or 0-3 Years with MD or DVM or HS diploma + 13-18 years of relevant experience.Significant training and real-world experience with perimeter defenses (both ingress and egress), remote access methods, device to device communications (including protocols), field device communications (wired and wireless), trust relationships and interconnectivity with enterprise networks, and ICS protocols and methods of communication.Knowledge of technologies and methods utilized for detecting anomalous activities, network device configurations, monitoring and alerting mechanisms and processes, threat and intelligence data sources and how these are leveraged within the ICS environment.Experience dealing with network and field devices for known vulnerabilities and potential exploitation vectors, configuration baselines and conformance to industry best practices and hardening guidelines, configuration backup and recovery, vendor management and integration, data and information integrity, and physical security of critical assets.Understanding and experience with latest ICS-CERT Design Architecture Review, which provides critical infrastructure asset owners and operators with a comprehensive technical review and cyber evaluation of the architecture and components that comprise their industrial control systems operations.Possess one of the following degrees and/or significant related equivalent practical government/military experience requirements: Industrial Security Engineering (Programmable Logic Controllers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems, Distributed Control Systems) or Computer and Network ForensicsUnderstanding and knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Draft Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity (5 December 2017) and NIST Roadmap for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Version 1.1 (25 April 2019).Knowledge of Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) concepts.Clearance: Must Possess and maintain TS with SCI eligibility clearance.Preferred RequirementsOver 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree in a related field of study.Private industry experience in any of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered vital to the US, under Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21).Experience presenting material to senior government officials, industry executives, and diverse set of interagency and whole of community key stakeholders within the ICS-CERT security domain.Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
