Description:Visioneering LLC has an opening for a 5ESS Telephone System Administrator to support the DOE, in supporting physical telecommunication infrastructure and project coordination activities supporting the Voice infrastructure. This System Administrator must be able to provision facilities and coordinate the resources necessary to support the Government owned 5ESS switch. Through building switch translations to support ISDN, PRI, T'1's, Analog services Responsibilities Include:* Translations, Trunking and 5ESS issues* Installs, performs routine maintenance, analyzes defects, tests, adjusts, repairs, and maintains complex equipment such as switching systems, circuit equipment, network* Updates work and maintenance logs* Experience working with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), Windows 10, Office 365, and basic Computer Skills.* Utilizes knowledge of general input and analysis of telephone switch translations* Runs diagnostic tests, programs, analyzes defects and/or tests various types of telephone switching equipment such as 5ESS and VOIP* Utilizes customer's ticketing system to track and update all work* Interface, assist, and work with the Telephone and Network Operational/Project Manager to help ensure all wired telecommunication functional areas.* Computing, Wired Support work pillar are delivered on-time, meet all associated metrics, and operate at the highest standards* Interface, assist, and work with all staff assigned to the Voice Infrastructure work pillar are delivered on-time, meet all associated metrics, and operate at the highest standards Required Knowledge and Experience:The 5ESS Telephone System Administrator have a college degree or history with over 10 years of Telecommunications or other associated technical major, or significant applicable work experience. A minimum of 10 years' experience within a telecommunications project environment, translations, trunking, and routing. Proven experience in managing large scale, multi-year, multi-location upgrades or deployments is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Operational experience with the 5ESS telephone switching system to include provisioning, maintenance and surveillance of the Government network.* Prior experience as a 5ESS Central Office translations* Ability to work well in a team environment* Excellent verbal and written communications skills* Strong project management/organizational skills* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word etc.)* Detailed oriented and able to multi-task effectively* Works well under pressure* Ability to make technical presentations to customers* Ability to prepare written documents describing technical complexities of the project* Ability to analyze complex information and make recommendations in understandable terms* Currently possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret level security clearance or Interim secret clearances Position: Full-time, on site at customer headquarters facility.
