Job Description Job Description Network Security Engineer - Senior (w/ active TS) Location: Arlington, VA Clearance: TS/SCI Schedule: TBD Full-time JOB DESCRIPTION Critical Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to support our federal customer in Arlington, VA. PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Surveys current and future locations to support agency network infrastructure. Inventory and validation of agency current and future network devices and topologies. Designs and installs architecture to include the software, hardware, firmware, and communications to support the network requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. Configures, installs, tests, validates, and troubleshoots network infrastructure devices. Ensures Network systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models and profiles of standards - such as Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Open Systems Environment (OSE) reference model - as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the network layers, across the application program interface (API) and the external environment/software application. Ensures that the network/transport layers of the common operating environment are compliant with policies, processes, and procedures. Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows and network usage, organization and planning and develops proper corrective action. Provide team members with the tools, knowledge, and documentation needed to support enterprise architecture. Have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed including on-call. Understanding of change control processes and can speak clearly to non-technical stakeholders to justify changes proposed during Change Advisory Board (CAB). BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Top-Secret Clearance w/ SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience Experience in network design, deployment, and operation Expertise in compliance with DoD standards and open systems architectures. DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level II certification such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA, PCNSE or another related certification Have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed including on-call. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is contingent on contract award. Clearance Requirement: Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance . In addition, selected candidate must undergo background investigation (BI) and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position.
