Job Description:

cFocus Software seeks a Sr. GIS Application & Database Developer to join our program supporting the Department of Customer and Border Protection (CBP). This position is on-site in Washington, DC.Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or related fields
• 8+ years of experience performing GIS and related development for law enforcement, immigration, and/or border security applications
• Experience in GIS concepts, computer graphics fundamentals, and relational database fundamentals is essential
• Experience in developing complex analysis and mapping projects
• Proficiency in coding software, manipulating digital databases, GIS programming languages, Internet markup languages, and other relevant technologies
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users, both orally and in writing
• Desired: experience with supporting software such as SharePoint and Microsoft PowerAppsDuties:
  • Develop GIS tools and applications independently, perform complex analyses, and create multi-layered maps using GIS tools and programming environments
  • Design and implement data conversion procedures, and perform quality control on software and databases
  • Collaborate with the GIS user community to determine application requirements and specifications
  • Conduct project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance
  • Support SharePoint development and geospatial integration with Microsoft Power Apps
