job summary:
Our client is in the process of selecting a future Enterprise
Resource Platform (ERP) solution to replace multiple legacy ERPs in
the environment which are the result of multiple acquisitions and
integrations. This position is to oversee the technical planning,
and the information systems environment transition with this new
ERP. The Lead ERP Architect will provide technical and
architectural guidance supporting all IT Operations. You will be
responsible for establishing an Architecture Review Board (ARB),
evaluating continuous service improvement items, including new
tools, technologies, assessing the design and potential impact to
our existing applications and infrastructure associated with the
ERP implementation. The Lead ERP Architect will be the primary
contributor in designing, creating, maintaining, and supporting
existing and future applications, infrastructure, and roadmaps.
Will also function as the primary technical liaison between all
teams on the program to facilitate technical discussions with
vendors, partners, and our customers.
Duties/Responsibilities
Establish an Architecture Review Board (ARB) inclusive of multiple
internal teams, which lead to discussions and presentations on ERP
implementation, capabilities, and alignment.
Leading discussions and collaboration of technical topics across
teams and across ERP and technical products.
Contributing to the analysis of technical issues to provide
resolution to our customer
Developing technology roadmaps
Evaluating technology and market trends to assess prospective
impact to our applications
Supporting the development of technical requirements, designs,
SOPs, project plans and presentations.
Advising on the selection of technology purchases
Performing research on emerging technologies to support
proof-of-concept (POC) capabilities and identify future solutions
for the organization
Evaluating ERP technologies and applications
Qualifications
Experience in a Solution Architect (or equivalent) role on an
Oracle ERP Program, preferably in the defense industry or companies
supporting government work
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree (or
equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience performing a variety of engineering and operational
related assignments in an ERP application and infrastructure
environment
Ability to utilize discretion and independent judgment to switch
between priorities quickly without affecting quality or
performance
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Experience with project management and/or practicing Agile
Advance-level knowledge of ERP technologies (preferably Oracle or
Infor)
Ability to clearly and succinctly present complex technical
solutions to technical and non-technical team members and to our
stakeholders/customers
Experience developing technical presentations which include
architectural diagrams and graphics.
Experience writing and presenting business cases and white papers,
including experience developing Basis of Estimates and budgetary
estimates.
Familiarity with the Oracle Cloud Interface (OCI)
