projects. Breck is seeking an energetic candidate with experience
in Cyber Technology Strategy Development including assessment of
existing cybersecurity technologies, identification of new and
innovative cyber defense services, emerging cyber market research,
and product management of capability development pilots. This will
be a full-time position in support of a federal client.
REQUIRED
- 8-10 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity
- Currently holds, or is able to obtain, DHS Fitness
Determination (must be a US citizen)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and associated
network monitoring, detection, and prevention tools; SOC, threat
hunting, or incident response experience highly preferred
- Proven creative thinking and problem-solving skills;
willingness to engage with new and complex content areas
- Strong ability to collaborate with other team members and lend
knowledge/perspective for the benefit of the team
- Initiative to conduct independent research and discovery with
end users, industry vendors, and stakeholders
- Strong proficiency in cybersecurity technologies and knowledge
of cybersecurity domains
- Strong understanding of enterprise architectures, computer
networks, their components, and best practices and technologies for
securing them
- Demonstrated mindset for defense and attack; understanding of
how to secure new services and technologies
- Demonstrated ability to think through a product management lens
focusing on articulating the voice of end users, mapping end user
needs to organizational goals, designing solution concepts,
developing solution requirements, and designing mechanisms to
measure progress towards outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding of agile development frameworks,
methodologies, and best practices for driving collaboration and
quickly delivering value to end users
- Strong interpersonal communicator through in-person, verbal,

- Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldWORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
--- Currently 100% remote, but must be willing to commute to the
Arlington/DC areaESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive discovery and qualification of cybersecurity services,
products, and tools available via market vendors to inform
capability development pilot planning, vendor assessment, and to-be
product parameters (ie., vision, features, technical requirements,
end user outcomes, success criteria)
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to elicit
mission needs, identify technology investment opportunities, frame
capability development pilots, monitor post-implementation impacts,
and inform improvements for continuous sensing of stakeholder
needs
- Leverage knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, best
practices, and industry standards to brainstorm and develop
perspective for new services and tools that creatively address the
mission needs of partners
- Brainstorm with technology SMEs across different cybersecurity
domains and topic areas (ie., network defense, network monitoring
and detection, vulnerability management, threat hunting) to
identify gaps in existing services catalog and design concepts for
services or tools that address these gaps and deliver new value to
partners
- Contribute technical subject matter expertise to briefings,
whitepapers, strategies, capability pilot plans, market research
RFIs, and other deliverables for technical and non-technical
audiences to explain cybersecurity technologies, existing
capability gaps, and proposed recommendations for capability
