Mastercard's D&S next generation platform blends industry-leading analytics, advanced software architecture, and the latest web technologies to face these problems. Our software is required to effectively decipher analytically complex insights from these problems, on which businesses base multi-million dollar business decisions.As a member of the Spending Pulse Next GenTM team, you will bring your full-stack development skills to design, build, deploy, and scale the Spending Pulse Next GenTM application to provide economic insights across geographies and sectors to our customers. We work with cutting-edge web technologies and analyze large datasets using Big Data technologies within a Hadoop ecosystem to create a scalable, high-performance platform. We are looking for an innovative software engineer who can contribute to designing and building large features, and thrive in a fast-paced, agile team. As a Software Development Engineer II, you will:

  • Build features used by some of the world's largest organizations to make multi-million dollar decision
  • Lead and push the boundaries of analytics and powerful, scalable applications
  • Collaborate across teams with exceptional peers who are passionate about what they do
  • Work with Product Managers and Customer Experience Designers to develop a deep understanding of users and use cases and apply that knowledge to scoping and building new features
  • Create intuitive, responsive UIs that allow customers to better understand and derive insights from economic trends
  • Develop and test full-stack features in a web application
  • Drive improvements to our code base by writing performant, well-tested codeIdeal Candidate Qualifications:
    • Full stack engineering experience in an agile production environment
    • Proficiency with .NET/C#, React, Redux, Typescript, and SQL Server or other object-oriented -languages, front-end frameworks, and/or relational database technologies
    • Strong technologist eager to learn new technologies and frameworks
    • Passion for analytical / quantitative problem solving
    • Motivation, creativity, self-direction, and desire to thrive on small project teams
    • Superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or related technical field
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
    • Experience collaborating skills with diverse, cross-functional teams
