As a Class A Delivery Truck Driver, you will be integral in ensuring that our vast array of products reaches our diverse clientele ranging from family-owned restaurants to large nationwide chains efficiently and safely. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport and deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures Collect and verify delivery instructions, documenting and logging work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Report defects, accidents, or violations and manage unforeseen situations on the road Ensure proper handling and delivery of sensitive materials with authorization if necessary and deliver high standards of customer service Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) DOT Medical certification
