Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Minimum Experience Required; 1 Year with Previous Cath Lab Experience Acceptable License: Valid State License Required Certifications: AART or RCIS License, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Positive References from Previous Employer Description: Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Tech. The role involves providing support in a cath lab environment. Must have skills in cardiac stent placement and left/right heart catheterization. Experience with PCI, PTCA, cardiac ablation, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy is essential. Ability to accurately monitor and maintain a sterile field is required. Duties will include functioning as a room circulator and scrub tech. Familiarity with Cerner, coil embolization, and Rotablade is preferred. Experience with Swan-Ganz and IABP is a plus. Floating to interventional radiology as a scrub, circulator, and monitor tech may be necessary. On-call shifts are expected, with a rotation on weekends. Weekends required every other weekend. The average daily census for this role is between 15-20 patients. The unit consists of 4 rooms. Two supervisor references are required. First timers are welcome if they have positive references from a previous employer. Skills in venous access and hemodynamic monitoring are preferred. Special procedures include left and right heart catheterization, primary PCI, and vascular/peripheral angiography. Additional procedures may include placement of PPM, biopsies, and port placements. Documentation systems used are MacLab and CardioLab. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
