Pre Cook

Full Time

2 - 3 Days per Week/ Any 5 hours per day to include Every Other Weekend

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

We have an amazing opportunity for Pre Cook that can:

Assists the cooks with pre-preparation of ingredients for menu items.
Sets up steam table for tray service and stocks food on employee food line.
Uses proper food handling techniques and uses time, material, and equipment in a manner which avoids waste and unnecessary expense.
Prepares fruit and vegetable salads according to recipes, and directions of the Head Cook.
Cleans, peels, chops, cuts, and prepares all fruits and vegetables as needed to be used in next day's menus.
Pours juices.
After meals, pulls the over-production off the line, and stores properly in walk-ins.





Experience/Skills/Education

Required:

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
Must have at least one year food service experience in a nursing home, hospital or health care facility institution or restaurant or equivalent education and experience.
Some knowledge of special dietary menus is preferred.
Knowledge of large scale food production equipment is required.
Must continuously be able to push/pull or lift objects weighing 10 to over 50 pounds.
Objects include: small carts, pots, pans, tilting skillet, kettle pans, and other equipment or equipment tables.
Occasionally must be able to push/pull food carts and storage bins weighing over 100 pounds.
Occasionally will have to lift/move objects weighing over 100 pounds such as hot food carts.
