Job Description:

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide ongoing coverage beginning as soon as possible. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding responsibilities, serving primarily oncology patients with some hematology cases. The provider will join a practice currently staffed by one physician and will care for adult and geriatric patients in a collaborative cancer care environment.

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Call: None
• Weekends: None
• Credentialing Timeline:
  • Temporary privileges: 3 14 days after completed application submission
  • Permanent privileges: 2 3 months

• Provide both inpatient and outpatient Hematology/Oncology services.
• Manage a patient population consisting of:
  • 70% Oncology
  • 30% Hematology
• No Internal Medicine responsibilities.
• Treat adult and geriatric patients.
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits, evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Perform inpatient rounding and management of hospitalized oncology/hematology patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.

• Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Facility Trauma Level: Level III
• Current Staffing: 1 physician
• APP Support: None
• Average Outpatient Volume: patients per day
• Average Inpatient/Rounding Volume: 2 8 patients per day

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology (Required)
• Board Certified in Hematology (Highly Preferred)
• Active Virginia Medical License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Experience managing both hematology and oncology patient populations.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred.
