Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start
Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Care (School Age & Burn
Care) Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience required.
License: RN License Certifications: BLS, EPIC Must-Have: - 2 years
of pediatric experience - BLS certification - EPIC experience
Description: The position involves caring for patients ranging from
a few months to 23 years old. The unit provides a mix of
intermediate and acute care. The patient care ratio is 4:1 for
acute care and 3:1 for intermediate care. Common medical diagnoses
include cystic fibrosis, asthma, diabetes, renal failure, burns,
and seizures. Surgeries performed on the unit include neurologic,
orthopedic, genitourinary, plastic, and ENT. Weekend rotation is
required every other weekend. On-call duties consist of two 12-hour
shifts as scheduled. Holidays may be required based on unit needs.
Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Travelers do not
provide care for burn and epilepsy monitoring unit patients.
