Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Richmond, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Orthopedic /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement /n• No guarantee of block scheduling /n• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients to 1 nurse on 25-bed orthopedic unit /n• Care for post-operative hip, knee, spine and other orthopedic procedure patients /n• Use general nursing equipment specifically related to post-operative orthopedic care /n• Document using Meditech system /n• Float to like units (med surg) as needed /n• Perform bedside shift reports and safety rounding (1 hour during day shift, 2 hours during night shift) /n• Use AIDET communication method for all patient interactions /n• Must have BLS certification and experience with post-operative patients /n• Positive attitude required, Meditech experience preferred /n• Dress code requires navy scrubs and closed-toe shoes /n• No specific bedside or unit procedures performed /n• No advanced skills required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility features a purpose-built orthopedic unit that is just over one year old, specializing in post-operative care for hip, knee, spine and other orthopedic procedures.
