Job Description:
Overview: VHC Health is seeking a dedicated, full-time Addiction
Psychiatrist to join our expanding Behavioral Health Service Line.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Board-Certified or
Board-Eligible physician in Addiction Medicine to be part of a
growing team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for
adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health
conditions. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary team,
you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering inpatient
addiction services within our system and contribute to the
development of our new Behavioral Wellness Campus — a 5.8-acre,
state-of-the-art facility focused on holistic recovery and healing
in Arlington, Virginia. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive
psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct psychiatric care, including medication management
and crisis intervention. Collaborate with psychologists, social
workers, and other healthcare professionals as part of a
multidisciplinary care team. Participate in ongoing quality
improvement and best practices initiatives. Stay current on
advancements in addiction psychiatry and integrate them into
clinical practice. Qualifications: Medical license in the
Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain one. Board
Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry with fellowship
training in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine. Experience
working with patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring
mental illness. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a
multidisciplinary team setting. Excellent communication,
