The Labor & Delivery unit is a 20-bed unit includes 3 triage rooms,
7 LDRs, 2 ORs, 3 PACU bays and 5 observation beds; high risk
obstetrical unit with access to Level III NICU *This is a Night
position that will be scheduled for 2-12hour and 2-8hour shifts a
week.* JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the patient care team, the Team
Leader demonstrates proficiency in clinically sound evidence-based
practice. He/she is recognized as a resource, preceptor, and role
model. The Team Leader oversees the daily surgical/ procedural
schedule to assess instrumentation needs in addition to equipment,
supply inventory, and daily staffing coverage. Serves as a
technical resource for assigned staff; providing guidance and
answers questions regarding procedures and compliance with policy
and procedure. He/she exhibits a mastery of nursing functions
needed to advise, mentor and evaluate other patient care team
members. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
required from CCNE accredited schools At least 2-4 years of L&D
experience including supervisory is required Maryland Registered
Nurse License or eligibility to obtain Maryland license required
American Heart Association BLS Certification required American
Heart Association ACLS Certification required Neonatal
Resuscitation Program (NRP) required Pediatrics Advanced Life
