Job Description:
Interventional Radiology Tech
**CAN START PENDING LICENSE; MUST BE ABLE TO VERIFY LICENSE
APPLICATION**
Start date: Orientation is every other week. VCH needs the start
date listed in the job order. To be considered, please update both
the submission packet and the candidate's Lotus Connect profile to
match this date
Schedule: 4, 10-hr shifts
Call: 8-12 days of call per month (30-min response time
required)
Duration: 13-weeks
**REQUIRED: VA license (OR) proof of application & proof of
incumbent active license from another state***
--Performs a variety of technical procedures prescribed ionizing
radiation for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for
designated areas and procedures as required, including, but not
exclusively, those responsibilities necessary for proper
functioning of the Interventional Radiology Section.
--Education: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists.
--Experience: Two years experience in Special Procedures/
Interventional Radiology. Thrombectomies experience required
FLU/COVID VACCINE:
COVID:
o Verification that each assigned individual is fully vaccinated or
has received a qualified exemption. An individual is considered
fully vaccinated if it has been two weeks or more since they
completed a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. The completion
of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 is defined as the
administration of a single-dose vaccine (such as the Janssen
(Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 Vaccine), or such as the
administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine (such
as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine).
o If your traveler will not be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to
the start date, please alert the Qualivis team. These situations
will need to be reviewed by VHC and may effect the traveler's start
date.
o If your traveler is requesting a religious or medical COVID
exemption, it will be responsibility of the agency to ensure the
traveler request complies with CMS guidelines. Qualivis will
review/approve each request with supporting documentation.
FLU:
o The Flu vaccine is required during flu season. (Oct 1st - Mar
31st).
o If your traveler is requesting a religious or medical FLU
exemption, it will be responsibility of the agency to ensure the
traveler request complies with CMS guidelines. Qualivis will
review/approve each request with supporting documentation.

by EPIC class options. - All travelers MUST attend either
accelerated or 2-days EPIC class. If a traveler is returning and
was previously at VHC within the past 6-months, they can forgo the

REQUIREMENTS: Please note that travelers MUST have a VA license
ACTIVE/IN HAND at time of submission. - Travelers with pending
licenses will be rejected. -**RADIOLOGY TECHS ARE THE ONLY
EXCEPTION (IR Tech, CT Tech, etc.). - If an IR Tech has applied for
a VA license, they can submit WITH proof of application and all
other supporting certs/licenses included in their submission
packet.**P/F Testing: only for Clin Doc accelerated class. One
attempt given, if fail must take 2-day class.RTO -- Keep RTO to a
minimum, preferably no requests for calendar week off during
assignment. -Any RTO must be in initial submission and if approved,
also in confirmation document. Expect to work some holidays. -RTO
approved at manager discretion.On-Call -- On-call only for some
areas like OT, IR, Cath Lab - - 30 mile/30 min to campusFloating,
if required, shall be in rotation with client staff, in accordance
with client policies and standards of the Joint CommissionWorkers
should provide a statement of EPIC experience and will either test
out with one day training, or start with two days training if EPIC
experience is long in the past, or otherwise minimal.
