If RN chooses 4x12s, OT is after 48hrs per week)Weekends: 6-weekend shifts per 6 weeks. (For night shift contracts, weekend = Fri, Sat, or Sun)Duration: 13-weeksASAP start (exact date dependent on EPIC experience/training schedule)--An intermediate care unit focused on pulmonary care. Population consists of patients needing advanced airway management. Patients may be on the ventilator, have tracheostomies, high flow O2, or bipap. Patient population includes adult to geriatric patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions. Other conditions including CHF, Rule out MI, post MI, new onset/Unstable Angina, Pericardial disease, Cardiac drug toxicity, suspected Pacemaker/ICD malfunction, Post ICD/Pacemaker insertion, Pre/post Therapeutic Catheterization, Dysrhythmias and patients requiring administration of select continuous infusion of cardiac medications or oral drug therapy for Dysrhythmias. The unit also includes med/surg overflow.Ratio: 1:4REQUIREMENTS: Must have Active VA or Compact License in hand at submission BLS ACLS Vent experience Cardiac TELE background within the past year 2 years of nursing experience Willing to take charge RN role Comprehensive respiratory proficiency required (High Flow, Tracheostomy, and BiPap required; ventilator experienced preferred)*COVID: Possible*Weekends: 6-weekend shifts per 6 weeks. (For night shift contracts, weekend = Fri, Sat, or Sun)*EPIC Class: Clin doc. The specific class will depend on your traveler s EPIC experience. Either CLIN DOC ACCELERATED (for RNs with 6+ month of EPIC experience in the past 12-months). There are about 4hrs of modules for this class. *or* CLIN DOC 2 DAY (for RNs with less than 6 months of EPIC experience in the past 12-months). There are no modules for this class.FLU/COVID VACCINE: COVID: o Verification that each assigned individual is fully vaccinated or has received a qualified exemption. An individual is considered fully vaccinated if it has been two weeks or more since they completed a primary vaccination series for COVID-19. The completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 is defined as the administration of a single-dose vaccine (such as the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 Vaccine), or such as the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine (such as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine). o If your traveler will not be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to the start date, please alert the Qualivis team. These situations will need to be reviewed by VHC and may effect the traveler's start date.o If your traveler is requesting a religious or medical COVID exemption, it will be responsibility of the agency to ensure the traveler request complies with CMS guidelines. Qualivis will review/approve each request with supporting documentation. FLU: o The Flu vaccine is required during flu season. (Oct 1st - Mar 31st) Declination is only acceptable for medical reasons. Travelers that wish to decline will need a Dr's note stating why they are unable to received the flu vaccination and will be required to wear a mask anytime they are within 6 feet of a patient. Dr's note must be recent and it must be clear that traveler can not receive the flu vaccine for the 2021-2022 season. If a traveler is returning and was previously at VHC within the past 6-months, they can forgo the EPIC class.)Updated/accurate interview availabilityProof of license--Please note that ALL travelers MUST have a VA license ACTIVE/IN HAND at time of submission-- Travelers with pending licenses will be rejected.--Please note that the following techs MUST have a VA license to work: Cath Lab in addition to their RCIS IR, OR.LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Please note that travelers MUST have a VA license ACTIVE/IN HAND at time of submission.-- Travelers with pending licenses will be rejected.--**IR TECHS ARE THE ONLY EXCEPTION.-- If an IR Tech has applied for a VA license, they can submit WITH proof of application and all other supporting certs/licenses included in their submission packet.**P/F Testing: only for Clin Doc accelerated class. One attempt given, if fail must take 2-day class.RTO--- Keep RTO to a minimum, preferably no requests for calendar week off during assignment.--Any RTO must be in initial submission and if approved, also in confirmation document. Expect to work some holidays.--RTO approved at manager discretion.On-Call--- On-call only for some areas like OT, IR, Cath Lab-- - 30 mile/30 min to campusFloating, if required, shall be in rotation with client staff, in accordance with client policies and standards of the Joint CommissionWorkers should provide a statement of EPIC experience and will either test out with one day training, or start with two days training if EPIC experience is long in the past, or otherwise minimal.
