-Physical Therapist, Inpatient (Acute Care) -Full Time -Interested

currently looking to add an Inpatient Physical Therapist to our

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required. Licensed as a
Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Current American
Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.Master's Degree or
Doctorate -in -Physical Therapy -is preferred. -One year experience
preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assesses outcomes of interventions provided and adapts techniques
as needed, based on a patient's cognition, culture, communication
needs, learning style and/or physical responseSpecialty skills for
PT include, but are not limited to, the following: Actively
participates in care coordination rounds providing information on
patient status and helping to facilitate coordinated
interdisciplinary care.Takes on additional roles: scheduler, charge
therapist, lead therapist; preferredLimits co-treating to allow
patient to obtain more individualized sessionsProvides treatment
with evaluation when appropriateAssigns appropriate frequencies to
meet patient needs with attention to hospital resourcesProperly
prioritizes caseload per department procedure when staffing is
limitedMonitors patient status in cases of medical instability,
transfer to another unit, or other changes in status. Communicates
with the healthcare team to determine when patient can participate
in therapy.Justifies need for skilled care with impairments listed,
pre/post treatment measurements, detailed reassessments that
demonstrate medical necessity with revisions to plan of care and/or
goals when appropriateActively coordinates and facilitates
specialty roundsImplements value based care criteria with guidance
from the department and professional publications
