The successful candidate will manage all aspects of environmental health and safety to ensure the project complies with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Responsibilities

• Performs daily, on-site checks of construction operations to assure contractor compliance with EM 385-1-1, defining problems and providing recommendations in a report to the COR.
• Ensure all project personnel comply with Site, Safety and Occupational Health (SSOH) requirements, preparing a report of deficiencies and recommended solutions for the COR.
• Review Accident Prevention Plans and prepare a report of findings for the COR.
• Review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and prepare a report of findings for the COR.
• Coordinate and participate in Quality Management and Safety inspections at construction sites to ensure compliance with established policies and regulations, consulting with field personnel to prepare a report of findings and recommendations for corrective action for the COR.
• Assist and advise field personnel in executing Safety duties and submit findings in a report to the COR.Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety, or a related field, preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in EHS management, focusing on large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations, and federal safety standards.
  • Proven experience in leading safety initiatives and training programs on construction sites.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple safety-related activities and teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with regulatory agencies and project teams.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
