Our client is currently seeking a Global Procurement Manager for their manufacturing facility in the New York/ New Jersey metro area.Job OverviewThe Global Procurement Manager leads efforts for sourcing plastics/polymers resins on a Global scale. The incumbent is responsible to efficiently and effectively enable spend owners such as the regions to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives. The incumbent will work with Buyers to lead centralized direct and indirect sourcing and procurement efforts. This will include working with the internal stakeholders from initial need identification to final goods or service delivery to meet stakeholder needs.Primary Responsibilities:*Value creation with a world class supply base*Define develop and implement Procurement Sourcing Strategies in order to meet productivity and achieve optimal supplier performances*Define, develop and maintain Procurement strategic plans, implementing measurement systems and metrics to measure supply base*Lead and ensure development and execution of Americas Procurement sourcing strategies*Drive Supply Base assessment in order to insure correct benchmarking, evaluation and selection, in compliance with relevant established policies, criteria and performance targets.*Lead outsourcing / Insourcing initiatives*Define, develop and maintain supplier relationships and analyze industry trends by commodity for development of optimal sourcing strategies*Team management & development*Responsible for P&L managementYour Background:*Bachelor's Degree, Masters Degree preferred*Experience in commodity management (DIRECT procurement) REQUIRED*5+ years of experience managing sourcing projects and prioritizing multiple key activities in strategic/direct purchasing*3+ years experience in managing teams*Experince with at least $350 million annual spend*Strong business acumen as well as analytical abilities to assess complex data*Experience in cost analysis & price breakdowns*open to 20% travel domestically and internationally*Supplier Management & Strong negotiation skills*Strong sense of intuition and ability to anticipate outcomes of actions, variables and decisions*Ability to influence with & without direct authority*Critical thinking and curiosity*Strong potential and willingness to grow within Procurement organization*Team Player**Interested candidates are encourage to email current resumes to jhoms judge.com**UI 783809
