P&T Event Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project coordinate/manage all activities related to Optum Rx P&T guest observation program, including but not limited to:
    • Maintain quarterly meeting observation event detailed logistics, including quarterly guest observation lists and communications
    • Update and maintain guest observation and P&T marketing materials and overview presentation, including annual reviews
    • Lead enhancement to current guest observation program by supporting a new website build with our CWT vendor
    • Coordinate activities with P&T project coordinator, including preparation of all guest facing materials for meeting day
    • Lead coordination with clinical consultant and client management teams on guest observation education and opportunities, including proactive outreach for guest observers each meeting
      • Initiate contact with clients to create awareness of participation opportunity and increase client engagement
      • Conduct guest observation planning sessions before each P&T meeting
      • Support onsite coordination of strategic client or consultant meetings that are associated with guest observation of P&T meetings
      • Coordinate logistics and plans for all guest dinners taking place evening prior to P&T meeting and guest lunch day of P&T meeting
      • Coordinate the welcoming of guests day of P&T meetings, including but not limited to considering a registration table or other means of directing guest to appropriate locations, etc
      • Lead all onsite facility coordination needs to ensure successful execution of each P&T meeting
        • Coordinate with onsite security for proper access for P&T participants and observers
        • Coordinate reservation of conference rooms for each P&T meeting with onsite contacts
        • Ensure technology requirements are met with onsite technology team in coordination with P&T specific AV support
        • Secure vendor for onsite catering of breakfast/lunch meals and any, if necessary, rental equipment (i.e., linens, etc)
        • Coordinate with onsite contacts for any facility needs (i.e., conference room temperature control, restroom and elevator access, etc)
        • Track goals and metrics on client participation & client satisfaction
          • compile and analyze guest surveys to provide quarterly metrics to ensure meeting guest observation goals
          • update quarterly presentation of guest observation metrics for leadership review
          • Coordinate with CWT, P&T Project coordinator to update P&T budget summary You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

            Required Qualifications:
            • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) OR 7+ years of event planning or event management experience (corporate setting preferred)
            • 3+ years of event management/project management experience
            • 3+ years of client facing experience
            • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint
            • Ability to travel 10% of the time Preferred Qualifications:
              • Undergraduate Degree in health information or services, business administration with a focus in healthcare or pharmacy, or other relevant project management based degree
              • Managed care pharmacy experience
              • Pharmacy knowledge, experience, or background
              • Six Sigma trained or certified in project management Soft Skills:
                • Strong client facing skills
                • Strong presentation skills
                • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
