ACT1 Federal is seeking a Director for the Air and Space Force line
of business in Crystal City, VA!

Business Development, supporting Business Development and Air &
Space Force Portfolio, you will be trusted to provide direct
support to the ACT1 Space & Intel LOB. In this role you will lead,
direct, manage, and support the development of new, strategic
business initiatives and provides direction for the implementation
of marketing and business strategies to drive growth in the Space
market.
This position reports to the SVP of Business Development and must
achieve unprecedented levels of capture process quality and
increased competitiveness by insuring interdependent, timely and
streamlined execution of the capture/proposal process. You will be
accountable for capture leadership of an assigned portfolio of
opportunities.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Performing opportunity analyses, and interfaces with ACT1
leadership and organizations to ensure timely delivery of winning
proposals.
Developing capture and win strategies including business solution
for pursuit.
Performing market and economic analyses.
Designing and executing formal capture plans.
Monitoring competitor activity.
Executing customer call plans to qualify and assess the
"win-ability" of new opportunities, and to shape acquisitions.
Leading and coordinating competitive assessments-determines the
strengths and weaknesses of ACT1 team and potential
competitors.
Evaluating potential teammates to ensure complete coverage of all
opportunity requirements and coordinating teaming activities and
decisions.
Identifying resources required to pursue a bid, and guiding bid and
proposal activities.
Leading development of customer profiles-including customer needs,
issues, hopes, and biases.
Regularly interacting with all levels of management, infrastructure
POCs, staff, and customers.
Preparing pipeline plans and preparing and leading Gate Reviews
Providing input to Business Unit plans and artifacts.
Ensuring development of solutions that offer competitive
distinction and readily executable approaches.
Soliciting and gleaning advanced knowledge of pending needs,
current systems, future requirements, and organizations to position
ACT1 for pursuit of new contracts and customers.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
A Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in Business
Development and Capture, preferably within the DoD/ air and space
force domain
A Master's Degree is preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, strategic, and high
dollar value capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts,
or task order business.
Previous experience overseeing bid strategies, pricing, teaming,
and proposal strategies; and managing the transition from business
opportunity to proposal development to award.
Experience interfacing and coordinating effectively with military
and government officials, technical and business subject matter
experts, contractors, subcontractors, and community leaders.
Military Space and/or Intelligence Community experience is
preferred.
Deep understanding of pricing, baseline pricing strategies, and the
evolution of pricing strategies into business strategies that are
competitive and compelling for the customer.
Knowledge of and strong contacts within the relevant customer and
technical community to facilitate strategic teaming
relationships.
Experience with government budget, investments, and acquisition
processes.
An understanding of sales and business development methodology,
requirements development, and an aptitude for milestone-based
capture process.
Strong organizational skills, a high level of initiative and
moderate knowledge with MS Office Products required.
Experience using CRM tools (i.e Salesforce) to manage customer
relationships across the entire customer lifecycle, spanning
marketing, sales, and customer service.
Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to
establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers
/ partners.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus,
proactive, superior attention to detail, project management, and
organizational skills. Business acumen, strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, reliability, and sound judgment.
Leadership and supervisory skills are an asset to this
position.
Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
An active Secret clearance is required.
