About The Role:

ARC is hiring a product marketing manager to use broad and deep
knowledge about ARC, its products, customers and the global air
travel industry; the product marketing manager will be responsible
for the creation and management of materials describing a product's
value proposition, positioning, target market, and differentiating
features relative to both other ARC products, as well as
competitors', and the development of product marketing plans
aligned with the broader ARC marketing and communications strategy.
The product marketing manager will conduct market research to
define market segments, assist in the development, design,
distribution and analysis of customer and industry surveys. This
role is key in that it requires strong interaction and
collaboration with the broader marketing and communications team,
product management and sales to create appropriate product
messaging, go-to-market and general marketing plans and sales/buyer
enablement assets. This may require both leading initiatives and
supporting those led by peers. Therefore, the ability to work in a
team is critical.
This role is also responsible for leading key customer engagement
efforts such as customer advocacy and win/loss research. These
require significant interaction with our customers and require
strong communication and interpersonal skills. These efforts
typically will be presented to leadership.
What You'll Get to Do:
- Conduct internal and external research to define customer
needs, markets, in support of existing or new products under
development. Provide informational insights regarding customers,
markets, and competitors to measure performance and support product
development.
- Complete competitive research to evaluate competitiveness and
product positioning/messaging.
- Communicate regularly with customers to complete research
including NPS calls, win/loss, customer needs/preferences, attend
customer working group meetings, as well as customer satisfaction
outreach.
- Own development of product positioning documents, value
propositions, buyer/user personas, customer surveys, among others.
Coordinate with the broader marketing and communications team,
product management and sales to develop product marketing plans,
go-to-market strategies, and product development (feature /
functionality), and measure their effectiveness.
- Lead customer engagement efforts with goal of capturing
customer interest and needs, product attractiveness/feasibility and
testimonials across product portfolio. This will entail meeting or
interviewing key executives at ARC's travel agency, airline and
other partners.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Specific airline, travel agency or corporate travel experience,
including air travel distribution and financial settlement is
highly recommended.
- Strong, proven understanding of travel data desired. The
product marketing manager needs to understand ARC's:
- Strategy relative to the customer group(s) the product
serves
- Product strategies and value propositions
- Market conditions that impact the value of an opportunity for
ARC to exploit
- Knowledge to develop value propositions and statements that
illustrate how our products / solutions can help address those
problems faced by our various customer sets. A wide degree of
creativity and latitude is expected
- Play a critical role in enabling product success through strong
research, positioning, persona development and customer
engagement.
- The product marketing manager must have very strong
communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Must also be comfortable summarizing and presenting work to key
executives including MDs, VPs, and C-level as needed.
