NCOA, a national voice for every American's right to age well, has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Corporate Partnerships, in its Crystal City, VA office. As the Manager of Corporate Partnerships, you will work with the Director of Business Development and Corporate Partnerships (DBDCP) and the Chief Development and Marketing Officer (CDMO) to develop effective strategies to engage new corporate relationships and increase financial support of our programs and the overall organization. Incumbent will work closely with the CDMO and the DBDCP to firm up details in the development of a newly designed strategic fundraising plan and ramp up corporate funding. You will evaluate existing relationships, reenergize those that need renewed attention, and pursue new strategic partnerships, including Fortune 500 companies. While we have a list of identified prospects, we will expect you to be an active member of the team to bring new ideas to the table on how we can engage and introduce new corporations to what NCOA is doing. You will partner with other departments to ensure programs and campaigns are on message and appropriately coordinated. You will develop proposals, deliver presentations and work in collaboration with key leadership as you engage Brand Managers, Directors of Community Affairs, and ESG/CSR professionals. Key responsibilities include the following: Develop effective strategies to strengthen current corporate partnerships and develop (and significantly expand) new corporate relationships.Work with program staff to identify potential corporate partners. Provide leadership and direction to guide them through the fundraising process.Manage accounts, prospect, and cold call. Get new prospects introduced to what we are doing.Collaborate with the DBDCP on a plan for NCOA to increase partnerships with outdoor retailers and other related retailers. Implement a strategy that outlines a successful structure for years to come.Research, write, and submit well-developed, persuasive proposals to increase our funding.Work to increase funding on the corporate platform through the initiation of programs such as licensing, cause-related marketing, event/program sponsorship, and promotional campaigns.Partner with Marketing and Communications to identify opportunities to drive visibility and revenue generation.Develop metrics and budgets for new campaigns and initiatives. Provide regular progress reports to the Director of Business Development/Corporate Partnerships. Make recommendations based on campaign successes.Ensure that corporate campaigns conform to NCOA guidelines.Work within the department to ensure the overall organizational goals are being met.Other duties as required. Professional Experience/Qualifications:At least 8-10 years of experience in business development / corporate fundraising.Experience researching, drafting, and submitting proposals.Experience in developing a budget, tracking, and measuring results.Experience in both restricted and unrestricted fundraising techniques. Experience with partner cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.Ability to develop and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization and with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines and goals in a high-pressure environment.Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and, ideally, databases such as Salesforce.Superior written and verbal communication.Strong presentation skills - confidence delivering proposals to colleagues and corporate executives.Ideal candidate will possess an energized, "can-do" attitude, works well at all levels within an organization -internal and external constituents alike, naturally brings out the best in people as they build trust and buy-in from both colleagues and partners, understands the big picture, and can easily translate our objectives into community impact.Travel required - approximately 35% (this will grow as your prospect relationships grow).
