The OPE promotes full information sharing and direct engagement with law enforcement partners to empower successful mission execution, specifically as it relates to the active shooter threat. The MAPA selected for this position will support VRU and its active shooter program, which includes conducting active shooter training for law enforcement and civilians and being responsive to field office Active Shooter Coordinators requests for documents and materials to support field office outreach and training. The selected candidate will aid in developing, maintaining, and expanding partnerships with Federal, State, County, Local, Territorial, Tribal, and Campus law enforcement partners through FBI violence reduction initiatives and active shooter threat mitigation efforts.Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.Key Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen ALL applicants must verify completion of the basic education requirement by submitting a copy of college transcripts by the closing date of the vacancy announcement. (if applicable)Mission Statement:The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.Major Duties: Support FBI-OPE-VRU and its teams in developing, maintaining and expanding relationships with all levels of law enforcement specifically as it pertains to active shooter training; Complete the ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) train the trainer course and teach ALERRT Level 1 to FBI Special Agents and State, Local, Tribal, Territorial partners nationwide as well as to New Agents classes and national Academy participants at Quantico. Instruct Active Shooter Attack Prevention and preparedness (ASAPP) courses for civilians. Train ASAPP instructors for other divisions and help those instructors to start teaching the professional staff within their divisions. Participate in working groups to recognize, value, build, and leverage diverse and collaborative working relationships and networks; Perform a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative assessments which require consideration of a large number of variables; Provide recommendations to OPE management on group specific partners' missions, capabilities, organizational goals, and opportunities for OPE collaboration; Establish and maintain close liaison with high-level management personnel with and outside of the FBI; Create, maintain and/or expand necessary distribution lists for internal FBI personnel and external law enforcement partners related to the active shooter threat; And other duties as deemed necessary related to violent crime and the FBI's role in assisting law enforcement in mitigating such crime.Qualifications and EvaluationsPlease make sure your specialized experience/requirement(s) can be identified in your resume.
