and with the CDMO to lead the development and monitoring of revenue
projections and expense budgets for individual giving and
foundation activities. Key responsibilities include the
following:
- In collaboration with the CDMO, set the tone and direction of
overall individual giving program and foundation relations.
- In collaboration with the CDMO, develop a five-year growth
strategy for the individual giving program (for both revenue and
number of active donors, driving to establish a major gift program)
and foundation activities.
- Work with staff and leadership volunteers, to develop short-
and long-term fundraising strategies, objectives, and priorities
for NCOA's annual giving program (direct response campaign goals),
foundation relations, and other special projects.
- Work closely with the CDMO to identify/market planned gift
opportunities.
- Work closely with the CDMO and Director of Business Development
and Corporate Partnerships to develop strategies to increase
restricted funds for mission driven programmatic activities.
- Direct the cultivation/stewardship, relationship management,
and upgrading of annual gifts.
- Work closely with the CDMO, the Director of Business
Development and Corporate Partnerships, and the Advancement Systems
and Operations Manager to develop the process of gift processing,
documentation and improvement, progress tracking and reporting on
all donor strategy development plans (individuals, corporate, and
foundations), contacts and results on a timely basis utilizing best
practices and standards.
- Assure cohesive collaboration between Business Development,
Marcom, Program, and Policy teams to leverage and strengthen
funding strategies for NCOA.
- In collaboration with the CDMO and the Director of Business
Development and Corporate Partnerships, develop an effective
program for recognition, involvement and stewardship of individual
donors, foundations, and corporations.
- Achieve performance measures/accountabilities including but not
limited to:
- Increase annual giving revenue and active donor file (specific
targets to be developed annually).
- Achieve national leadership gift goals for the annual fund
campaign (targets to be determined).
- Work towards the development of a major gift program for NCOA
(shared with the CDMO).
- Achieve projected foundation goals for NCOA (shared with the
CDMO).
- Other responsibilities as required. Qualifications, Knowledge,
and Skills:

experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience working with high-level
volunteers and funders.
- Ability to understand the needs and interests of foundations in
order to develop relationships between them and NCOA.
- Familiarity/knowledge of tax laws that impact charitable
giving, personal assets, and estates.
- Successful track record in major gift and/or related
solicitation experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills necessary,
including the ability to articulate the case for support so
individuals "buy into" NCOA's vision/mission/goals.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work in a
collaborative team environment a must.
- Strong current knowledge of MS Office and knowledge of or
ability to learn Salesforce, RE NXT, and other business-related
presentation software required.
- Experience in a non-profit environment highly preferred. NCOA
is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to a work
environment that supports, inspires, and respects all individuals
and in which personnel processes are merit-based and applied
without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex,
sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age,
disability, national or ethnic origin, military service status,
citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by applicable
law. NCOA believes that diversity and inclusion among our teammates
